Big Rainbows on Wilson Creek!!! November 2012

This is a spot that I fish regularly. I feel it hosts the best fishing for a remote off the grid fishing feel. Its a haul to get to from just about anywhere. Its two and a half hours from Charlotte but the 12 miles of single lane dirt road makes it a bit tricky to get to. I have seen people take their BMW's up there before though so its not unmanageable. Look up Betsey's Old Country Store on Google. Its a great place to stay and is open year around unlike the state campground which closes in November and doesn't reopen until trout season is almost over. Its $15 a night to camp there or $75 a night I believe to rent a cabin. Call ahead for cabin rentals.
